THE KEY TO SUCCESSFUL IT APPLICATIONS TRAINING – Bedfordshire and Luton Chamber of Commerce launch accurate Training Needs Analysis.

For far too long, most Microsoft IT Applications training (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), has been let down in one major area; “assessments” or “Training Needs Analysis”. To-date most Organisations have either decided what their candidates need to be trained in, or worse still have simply asked the candidates themselves to fill in their own training needs application form. Both of these methods have proved to be highly inaccurate often resulting in candidates who had thought they knew more than they actually did, being enrolled in courses that are beyond their capabilities, wasting both their time as well as the Employer’s time and money. Bedfordshire and Luton Chamber of Commerce have now eliminated this problem by adopting an automated assessment package that allows candidates to answer test questions in their “Live” Microsoft IT application program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) resulting in a guaranteed accurate Training Needs Assessment report for every potential candidate. Unlike simulated test packages, this gives candidates the freedom to respond to questions using any method they know as the most important part of the exercise is being able to provide the correct answer. The result is a 100% accurate training needs report that highlights both what candidates do know as well as what the candidate does not know, and this then produces the vital information required to deliver both accurate and individual training. After having completed the online assessment, the Chamber is then able to provide the specific Microsoft application training required for each individual candidate. This means that local businesses do not need to waste any more time or money in sending staff on inappropriate Microsoft applications training courses, as each candidate will only be trained on the level of training that they really need to know as opposed to what the Company or the candidates themselves think they need. This is yet another innovative solution being offered by the Bedfordshire and Luton Chamber of Commerce who are currently taking bookings for their courses.
