Bedfordshire’s Business School courses awarded coveted accreditation

Written by Paula Devine | 03 Jul 2018

Human Resource Management (HRM) courses at the University of Bedfordshire have been given the seal of approval by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).

The accreditation means that students who have become student members of the CIPD, and complete their HRM course at the University’s Business School, will automatically become associate members of the CIPD when they graduate. This is the first step on their journey towards full professional accreditation.

The CIPD is the only professional body in the world that can award Chartered status to individual Human Resources and Learning & Development professionals, and has over 145,000 members worldwide.

Associate Dean Recruitment, International & Partnerships for the Business School, Chris Marshall, said: “We are delighted to have achieved this accreditation that complements the long-term recognition of our part-time approved courses for working professionals, and further endorses the School’s practice based educational philosophy.

“Through their membership to the CIPD, our students will have access to excellent networking opportunities, as well as access to the CIPD’s extensive Knowledge Hub which, along with their studies with the University, will set them on the road to successful and exciting professional graduate careers.”
