Written by Paula Devine | 25 Aug 2017

Center Parcs has strengthened its Corporate Events team at Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire with the promotion of Kelvin Hayward as Conference & Events Manager and Catherine Mansfield as Event Co-ordinator.

Kelvin has a wealth of experience in the management of conferences and events from previous roles at 5-star hotels such as Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa. He joined Center Parcs as Head of Department for the operations team in The Venue at Woburn Forest in 2015 and progressed to Village Duty Manager a year later.

Kelvin says: “As part of my new role, I will be co-ordinating all corporate events, from meetings and away days to product launches and gala dinners, ensuring high standards are met from enquiry to delivery and every event at Woburn Forest is a success. I love the flexibility to deliver exciting corporate guest experiences here at Center Parcs and I’m looking forward to utilising my management experience to lead the team in doing so.”

Catherine initially joined Center Parcs as part of the Events and Conferencing team and quickly demonstrated valuable leadership skills, resulting in her moving to an Assistant Manager role, prior to her promotion to Event Co-ordinator. Catherine will work closely with corporate clients to deliver their overall event objectives, as well as organise the finer details of their stay.

On her new role, Catherine says: “I have been with Center Parcs for over two years now and have really enjoyed working for such a forward-thinking, reputable company. As Event Co-ordinator I am the first point of contact for corporate clients to organise the details of their stay which is what I really love about the job, as I’ve always enjoyed interacting with clients to ensure their time at Center Parcs is a memorable experience.”

Liz Pilling, Corporate Events Commercial Manager says: “Our staff continually exceed expectations and we actively encourage deserved progression within the company. I am confident that Kelvin and Catherine will thrive in delivering the high standard of service for our corporate guests that they have already demonstrated throughout their time with us. I look forward to their continued success as part of the Center Parcs Corporate Events team.”
