GBN – Environmental Internal and External Communications
Date & Time: 17/06/2015 8:00 am - 10:00 am | Location: The Forest Centre
Speakers: Dr Sarah Williams, Sustainable Business, and Jane Varley, GBN
Following on from the motivating and engaging staff seminar, held in April, this seminar will be looking at how we can tap into values to communicate about environmental issues with both our own people and external stakeholders.
Attendance at the previous seminar isn’t necessary, but we would recommend filling in a short questionnaire prior to the seminar.
The seminar will enable you to formulate effective communications strategies no matter who you are trying to reach – from the disengaged shop floor worker to the enthusiastic financial manager. And yes, they do exist.
We are on the look-out for examples of your communications to critique – if you would like to send them on to me, we can use them for workshop sessions either anonymously or with your company name on them. As a gesture of solidarity with you, Jane Varley will be presenting an example of how not to do it from the recent past written by herself. We promise to be gentle with any examples that we use for workshop sessions and you could benefit from getting a seriously improved communication piece. Please email your stuff to me with your bookings.
We will kick off with two short formal presentations and follow up with plenty of hands-on workshops and exercises to help you to share best practice and put your learning into practice. The seminar is free to GBN members. Others are welcome to attend at a cost of £25 +VAT per delegate. To book your place, either click here Book your place or simply respond to this email, or you can visit our website at: http://www.gbn-bedfordshire.or.uk/seminars.asp
We look forward to seeing you there.
