Developing English in Education
Date & Time: 09/07/2014 9:30 am - 3:30 pm | Location: University of Bedfordshire
English is a pre-eminent world language, at the heart of our culture, and is the language medium in which most of our pupils think and communicate.
‘School Support Services @ Luton’ would like to invite you to our forthcoming English Conference, aimed at those in educational roles across all phases and vocations. With highly regarded external speakers present, including Professor Steve Strand from University of Oxford, you will explore issues from both a national perspective, share and address current issues from a local perspective, develop ideas and seek to explore next stages in order to combat these issues.
Colleagues from Luton Borough Council will be present offering a variety of experience, advice and good practice, and you will work together to highlight main strengths and weaknesses in English, and identify actions to help improve existing practices and contribute to higher attainment of English in education.
This invaluable session is one not to be missed!
Heads of Schools, Key College staff, Heads of Department, Adult Education Tutors, and Employers who may benefit from this session.
