Foxley Kingham launches its “50th Birthday Charity Challenge”

Written by Paula Devine | 05 Feb 2018

Foxley Kingham, Luton-based chartered accountants and business advisers, today celebrates its 50th anniversary. The company was established by its founding partner, John Kingham, on 1st February 1968 and he was joined at the end of that year by Malcolm Foxley.

To mark this milestone, Foxley Kingham’s staff have set themselves the challenging target of raising £50,000 during this landmark year, which will be distributed amongst local charities nominated by staff and clients. The company has offered to match fund all monies raised by staff across the year.

From modest beginnings working from a room in John Kingham’s then home in Butterfield Green Road, the company has grown to become a substantial business with five Directors, employing over 50 staff and serving over 1000 clients across Luton, Bedfordshire and the southeast of England.

Paul Bithrey, Director, commented:
“We are delighted to be celebrating this amazing milestone of 50 years as a local business. At the heart of what we do are our staff and our clients, many of whom have been with us decades. We have always strived to understand and anticipate each client’s requirements and give focused and practical advice -to be an extension of their own company.

The staff at Foxley Kingham have some special fundraising activities planned over the next 12 months, from wine tastings to 10k runs, and from bake-offs to sky diving so we applaud their efforts to raise money to help those in need in our local area.”

John Kingham, now retired, commented:
“Congratulations to everyone at Foxley Kingham! I am incredibly proud of your achievements and how the company has flourished over a 50-year period. The same ethic with which Malcolm Foxley and I established the company still holds true: if you give a good service to people, and treat them in the way you would like to be treated then they will appreciate this and stay with you for the long term.”
Foxley Kingham offers advice on a wide range of financial matters. The company has built up specialisms in a number of sectors, including charities and not-for-profit organisations, GP practices, other professional practices, property and construction, and manufacturing and engineering.
